​York Model Aviators was chartered in April, 2015, and is located on about 2 acres of flat, smooth and unobstructed farmland.  We have a 550x100 foot runway, big enough for even giant scale models.  Pilots face north northwest to fly so the sun is at your back until late afternoon and then we fly perpendicular to the runway.  So if you are a beginning pilot or a seasoned pilot, our new field will meet your needs.

 

We are dedicated to promoting the hobby through public exposure and training, particularly youth, and we have regularly scheduled training sessions to maximize the student's chance of success.  See our RC Training Program for details of the training.

 

Many people feel model flying is too expensive and never give it a try, but compared to other hobbies or sports it is quite reasonable.  Beginner models complete with transmitter are available for just over $100.
